Value time

I have made this 4 x 4 inch Fat page  for  Challenge 44 over at Out of a Hat Creations  the theme is  Clocks .
A bit last minute, so I hope to get it posted in time.
A selection of Clock/time stamps make up the background and clock faces,  all of which have been so well used  that I cannot name the individual makers .

As you can see from the photo on the right  I put it together with a brad  so that the dials as well as the hands can move.

All the colouring is Distress inks, Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo.

Thank you for stopping by I always appreciate the comments you leave.

Share some Love

'Share some Love', is our new Challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges. Please pop over for all the details and see what my DT sisters have been making.
This small heart shape  3 x 3 .5 inches was just waiting in my  box for a make over.
After a coat of cream acrylic paint,  I coloured with distress stains, broken china and a bit of picket fence.
To add some texture I used Stampendous  Frantage embossing powders Aged Marine and Aged Gold with a sprinkle of Lavender crushed glass glitter.

The image I framed in the heart ,  is an old favourite stamp from Queens Dresser Drawers. One of my first on-line purchases many years ago.  This is shaded with Distress inks, shabby shutters, victorian velvet and vintage photo.

The trimmings  came from my stash and I coloured the string with weathered wood distress ink.

Challenges that I hope to enter as well are-
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 191 Valentines Day/Love
Live and Love Crafts  Challenge 7-' Something Old', - the stamp.

Thank you for stopping by, I always appreciate your comments.

I love Paris

'Lots of Layers' is the new theme this week over at Sugar Creek Hollow.
Please pop over to see what we have all been making and get all the details, we would love to have you join us. As always we love to see a Shabby Chic/Vintage style.

This is one of my favourite styles of card making. This one has 9 layers including the lace.
The base card was stamped to begin with, but its nearly all covered with the papers.
I used a selection from a Graphics 45 paper  stack for  layering,  as well as plain black card.
For the image I used a Crafty Individuals stamp.  All the shading is, can you guess, -- Vintage Photo distress ink, it is in constant use with all my card making.

Will also be entering this card for the challenge over at Simon Says stamp and Show - 'What are you known for'.   I love  vintage and layering.

Thank you for stopping by, I always appreciate your comments.

Our sponsors this time  are Milk,Coffee digital stamps.

I have used  one of my new Crafty Individuals stamps  on this card., I love these  cute rabbits.
The sentiment was computer generated as I didn't have a suitable stamp.
The embossed layers are   old favourites, tree bark and leaves.
The base card was random stamped  with another old favourite, a  Stampers anonymous stamp.
The shading is distress inks, weathered wood, shabby shutters and walnut stain.
I used water colours on the rabbits.

You're late

Its seems so long since I last  made an ATC,  when I saw the new challenge over at Artful Times,     called
'Calling Time on an ATC',   I thought I would give it a go.
The main image is an Indigo Blu stamp, I added glossy accents to the clock face.
There are a few time stamps on the background and a torn piece which was embossed using a time folder,
I used  distress inks for colouring, antique linen,  shabby shutters and tumbled glass.
The words were taken from this quote also from the Indigo Blu set --.
No wonder you're late.
Why, this watch is
exactly two days slow.
I tried to get them all on the ATC but had to play around to get in the words shown, hope he's not to late.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments are always appreciated.

All dressed up.

For this weeks challenge over at Sugar Creek  Hollow we would like you to choose a line  from our 'Tick, tack, toe 'board. Please pop over for all the details and see what we have all been making.

Once again  I am making pages for a  monthly  swap with a friend. All the pages will be  4 x 4 inches square.
We both love vintage and shabby chic.
At the end of the year we will each  have a lovely book to look at and treasure.
So here is what I made for January following the line which includes- Lace, ribbon and pearls.

On this side that  I am calling the front, the base layer  was embossed already, then shaded with distress ink.
The trimmings of green  open  weave  lace, cream lace, ribbon and pearls were from my stash.

You can see a little lace  at the top of my page, this needs to be pulled out.
The photo on the left  shows the tag that is hidden inside.

On the right is what the reverse side looks like.
The same base layer, a piece of a doily, shaded with Tea dye distress ink. All the images and the tag were made from Graphics 45 papers.

Thank you for stopping by, I realy appreciate all your comments.
If you are having snow, like we are here  in the N.E. of England, stay safe and warm.

Fashion Plate

'Lets get Stitchy' is the theme for the coming fortnight over at Try it on Tuesdays.
We would love to see some stitching on the entries, 'real or faux'.
Please pop over for all the details and see what we have all been making.

The base of this hanging is a 6 x 4 inch canvas. Over time it has been  stamped, masked and  sprayed, wiped over with gesso to clean off the brush , I don't do waste paint etc.,  re- sprayed  to cover the gesso,  then left to sit around on my desk for simply ages.
However it seemed just what I was looking for,  to use for this project.
The images used all come from the Graphics 45 papers A Ladies Diary'.
My 'stitchy'  additions  are the  machine embroidered flowers and the stitching up the ribbon trim.
The rest of the bits and pieces came from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by, I always appreciate the comments you leave.

With the addition of some trimmings and the trusty Vintage photo distress ink,
I enjoyed making this card, and if you look close there is not a stamped image in sight, unusual for me.

She Art and TioT's first challenge for 2013

Happy New Year to everyone.

Before I tell you all about our first challenge of the year at Try it on Tuesdays.

I would like to share with  you one of the gifts I received from my OH at  Christmas. It was this beautiful She Art figure. You can imagine how thrilled I was to open this parcel.

So for  our new Challenge at TioT's I just had to use this as my inspiration.

The theme is 'New Stash'.
We would like you to use something new that you received as a gift or something that has never been tried out before and tell us about it.
Please pop over for all the details and see what we have all been making.
Our Sponsor for January is Crafty-emblies

So here is my version of the She Art figure using  an image and papers that I bought a while ago and never got round to using. The wings were embossed with Frantage embossing powder and they realy shine.
The words that I stamped for her dress   are  Stampers Anonymous.
-A dream is a wish your heart makes .
-Its not who you are that holds you
back, its who you think you are not.

Where did she end up?

She is the focus of a canvas collage.
The background is random masks and stamps. Coloured with some of my new Distress stains that I had as a Christmas gift.

The sun was also embossed, the house made with She Art papers.
The flowers were fussy cut and then water coloured with some seed beads in the centre.
My OH made me the frame.

Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate your comments.
